I want to update my theme version to the latest version. However I made some few changes on the parent functions file and I cant recall everything I did. I am afraid if I update some if not all the tweaks I did will be lost and the look of my website which I like as it is will be lost.
How do I ensure that these customizations remain after updating. Last time I did while the site was still under development I lost the customizations and had to redo them.
Help on this will be highly appreciated.
