    I was surprised to find that users can leave comments on pages as well as posts with this theme. I don’t think that was possible with my previous theme. I was able to turn this off with a plugin, but I wanted to know if there’s a way to turn it off within WordPress or in some Blog Way setting or function to avoid the slowdown of yet another plugin to load.

    Hi @dbookbinder

    Please go to Settings >> Discussion and disable option to allow people to comment in article from there.

    You can override this from each page and post as well.
